It's been a few days since I've posted, it was Sunday in fact.

On Sunday evening we went to our local The Ship and had a few drinks. We got mixed up with the Leeds match, it wasn't on but we watched the charity shield.

There were 4 on our check; I had zucchini fritters to start with and then some chutney chicken for my main course, Jules had Steak (a little under cooked if she did complain herself), Al had a steak sandwich and potato wedges and Steve had some lamb chops or something. There were 3 wines, 2 cocktails, 3 beers and a water (they didn't charge for my 3 tia maria & cokes) and the bill came to 3800 rs. Cheap as you like!

I like it in the ship, it's all decked (geddit) out like a ship. In the toilets theres pretend portholes with pictures of the sea showing through. There's sails on the windows and the bar is shaped like a viking longboat.

Oooh that's the door, my pizza has just come.

mmmm that was delicious. a chutney paneer pizza and garlic bread with cheese, from pizza hut for 293 rs.

Anyway The Ship. It's cool, it has a big screen and they show all sports. The food is really nice, the falafel is good, they even do steak and kidley pud, but it's more like a pie, with lots of kidley though (makes a change).

We got tuk tuk home, they are so cool.

On Monday it was Phil's birthday and we decided we would go to Mainland China for something to eat. It's suposed to be the best Chinese in Pune. When we got there they said there wasn't a table till 10:45 pm it was 10:00 pm so we left and decided to go to Le Meridan for something to eat.

We got there and went to the bar to wait for everyone as we were in 4 cars. We got a drink in and listened to the Polish lounge act, the guy is ginger and was wearing a bright lime green shirt, he looked really silly. They sung Achy Breaky heart by billy ray cyrus, jesus!

We decided that we'd go to the Chinese/Thai restaurant at the hotel. I got chicken wonton for starts and for my main course I got a lamb thai curry, boy was it hot; it didn't stay with me long...! I even made a point of asking them to make it mild. Simon got king prawn in batter for his starter, they were 5 of the biggest prawns I'd ever seen, they must have been at least 6 inches long each, and it only cost 650 rs.

After the meal we went to Scream, the club in the hotel, it isn't usually open on a monday but because it was independance day on tuesday (a dry day) it was open. it was like a private party there was only us and 4 other people in there, we were out numbered by the staff.

We left at 1:30 am and got tuk tuk home, cool. me love tuk tuk.

On Tuesday we got flags for tea, me and Amanda got 4 starters a breadbasket and 2 ham chimichangas between us. it was very nice.

Today most folks have gone out for drinks and then they're going to watch the England match at Scream I think. I was going to go but I'm too tired. I've been wrestling with systems all day, it has been very frustrating and I'm just sitting in with a beer watching Die Hard with a vengence (a recent VCD purchase) and updating you guys. I've not had a minute to myself since I got here really so it's nice to have some alone time.

That's me caught up. I think my shift is changing next week, I may have to work 2-10 for the rest of the training, there's a shortage of training rooms or something, does that remind you of anywhere..?
